For over 20 years, Mary Kraft has supported individuals and families through life’s most profound challenges. From comforting children in hospitals to guiding grieving families, her work is rooted in compassion, connection, and hope
As a Certified Child Life Specialist at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Mary earned the title of “Bereavement Specialist” for her exceptional care of families facing loss. She extended her expertise to the New Hope Center for Grief Support, training volunteers, creating impactful programs, and supporting grieving families with empathy.
Mary deepened her commitment during an 18-month internship with Season’s Hospice, helping children and families in anticipatory grief. At Kindred Hospice, she served as a Bereavement and Volunteer Coordinator, working with a team to provide care during loved ones’ final days.
Kraft is also a former lecturer at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Mary combines hands-on expertise with teaching. She helps families navigate grief, embrace life’s transitions, and find peace in the end-of-life journey.
